How did i find out about this? someone posted a link to my story and i was checking the sources of traffic and decided to click on the link and check out what they were saying about my case vs. manila bulletin but instead i find out that another copyright violation has happened.. this time philippine photographers with photos on flickr.. and a Cebu Daily.

What to do? Here is something I wrote on how to deal with someone stealing you photos online..
I think the photographers should unite and fight violations agaisnt our copyright.. how do we do it? I dont know.. a suggestion made by a fellow photographer was to use my case and show up during the first hearing to show that the community of photographers are united against copyright violation against photographers..
any other suggestions are most welcome…
International Copyright: CNET uses photo without giving attribution

Mitch Aidelbaum found his photo used by Cnet without permission or attribution on the front page of www.news.com Â

How do we put a stop to stealing photos online? i guess at this point we just have to do 3 things.Â
1. Put a watermark. I dont want to put a watermark because i think the photos are wasted with these ugly, attention seeking watermarks… but I dont have a choice but follow the this recommendation to stop or at least deter copyright infringment.
2. Disable the right click. Stop people from right clicking the image and use the “save as” function of the browser.. not a perfect plan but at least it is a deterrent to stealing photos.
3. Hire a good IP Lawyer.  The Last recourse and probably the best is to get good advice and service of a good ip Lawyer in the Philippines.Â
My copyright story is still unresolved but I have a lawyer working on it and will update you soon about the developments! In the meantime for those that missed the story here it is. Manila Bulletin Violates Photographers Copyright.     Â
