Iligan Kasadya Festival Photos and Video

I wasnt sure if i really wanted to shoot the festival, since that whole MILF invading the town of Kauswagan happend a little more than month before Kasadya Festival the but what the heck.. the festival was for St. Michael the Archangel and Protector!

To the last minute I was debating if I was going to shoot at the ampitheater since security was tight but seeing all the military around i decided to go on and shoot the festival knowing well that we were protected and safe. The Festival had only 6 contigents, probably because the other towns shyed away because of the security risk the festival posed.

The Festival started late, we wondering why there was not much people at the venue then realized that security was even tighter that each person had to undergo scrutiny at the gate. After the crown slowly trickled in, the festival was on its way.. 10am and the heat was intense.. but i was a lot of fun!

Ok I just got back from Iligan CityMindanao, Took a little break and also shot the Kasadya Festival in Iligan City.

Here are some updates that most of you have been looking for.

* Walang Ganyan Sa States Photo Contest is almost done we are waiting for the email from one of the judges.. all the emails are in except for one judge, the contest is tight and the last judge is needed to break a tie.. will keep you guys posted hope we can get it before Sunday.

* Due to Heavy Traffic, We will have to move to a dedicated server.. at there was a day 2 weeks back that we hit 11K pageviews in a single day.. good news is that we are growing steadily, bad news is that server issues has hit us hard and traffic is down now.. hopefully we can get it back up soon when we transfer to our new home.

* We are planning a new contest, details will be out soon but we are looking for 5 photographers that will vie for an all expense paid trip to shoot a festival. We are still working on the details and update you on this.

* Higaonon Dance Festivals Photo Upload still on hold till we receive the package from the organizers.

* Kasadya Festival Photos Will be on on the weekend when we also get updates and the list of winners.
