I missed this years Kadayawan Festival but our photographer friend and fellow member of TravelPhotographer.ph, Takoy Paler was there with a couple of friends to shoot the festivities.

Taks as he more popularliy know, has been shooting festivals for the past few years and for the Kadayawan Festival 2008, he shares us images of the Festival in Davao. We are honored by his gesture of sharing the Festival to our readers.

Mastigsalogs Tribe debuts today in Kadayawan 2008

The “People from the River” debut in their first Kadayawan Fesival today. Matigsalogs as they are called are from the Marilog district shall see action in their first official Kadayawan Festival since Datu Guinto was installed as Deputy Mayor for the Tribe last May 9.
Mastigsalog is composed of remote barangays of Marilog, Gumitan, Buda, Datu Salumay, Malamba and Baganihan. They shall share their rich culture and heritage today in the 2008 Kadayawan Festival.
