Bright Child photo contest launched in Central Luzon

San Fernando City, Pampanga (10 October) — The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) recently announced that interested photo enthusiasts, amateurs and professionals have until October 15 to submit their entries to the Bright Child photo contest.
All entries, according to the CWC, must depict the theme “Bright Child: Karapatan nasa ‘yo, Isigaw sa buong mundo!” and should reflect Filipino children as they enjoy their rights to a family, survival, development, participation and protection.
The contest is open to all Filipino photo enthusiasts, amateur, and professional photographers in the country. Officials and staff of the CWC, including the CWC Communication Committee Members and their relatives are not allowed to join. Based on the contest mechanics issued by the CWC, only 2007 photo shots are allowed with each entry accompanied with the information sheet provided by the CWC and also available on-line www.cwc.gov.ph.
Previously published photos, as well as photos, which have won in any national or international contest will not be accepted in the contest, according to the CWC. Entries should be sent to the CWC, Public Affairs and Information Office, 10 Apo St., Sta.Mesa Heights, Quezon City or to the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation,Inc., Room 302 FEMI Bldg., A.Soriano Avenue, Intramuros,Manila 1002.
Cash prizes await the winning entries – first place, P30,000; second, P20,000; third, P10,000 and consolation prizes for the fourth to tenth places.
The top 30 entries will also be featured in a special exhibit in SM Malls this October in observance of children’s month.
