Contest Mechanics:

1. The contest is open to all professional and amateur Filipino photographers.
2. The theme of the photo essay competition is “Simbahan.” The photos should effectively capture the beauty of Philippine Churches.
3.  Each entry should consist of at least 3 photos, showing different perspectives of the inner or outer structure of the Church (example: outside, altar, aisle)
4.  It should have the Church as the main subject and may or may not include people.
5.  Contestants can enter photos taken through a digital or non-digital camera.
6. Each participant can have any number of entries.  Prints should be  8×10 inches, to be printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper, without  borders, unmounted. Strictly no manipulation on digital files (no digital enhancements or desktop printouts allowed)
7. Original negatives or data files should be submitted together with the entry.
8. Each entry should be put on a brown envelop. Photos should have  concept title, name and address of church, complete name, address, contact information, and signature on a piece of paper and the paper should be pasted on the back.  It is not allowed to use pseudonym or other identities (existing or fictitious).
9. The contestant can only enter an entry if he/she owns the copyright to the entry or if he/she has written, signed permission from the photo owner or photo subject or model.
10.  Contest duration is from Sept. 1 – Sept. 30, 2007.
11. Contestants must submit or mail his/her entries to Kasalang Filipino photo contest c/o Kasal.com 24 Joy St. Grace Village, Quezon City.
12.  Entries should be exclusive to this Contest and must not have been used as entry to past contests or be used for future contests.
13.  Criteria for judging will be based on the following: Relevance to Theme (30%), Composition (30%), Creativity (40%). Officers from Fujifilm YKL and Kasal.com will be present during the judging of the photos.
14. Winners will be notified through phone, registered mail and will also be published in a newspaper of national circulation.
15. Only entries received until Sept. 30, 2007 are qualified for the contest. Participants can send more than one entry but can only win once. In case he/she wins more than once, he/she gets the prize of higher value.
16. Redemption period shall be within 60 days from receipt of notification. You can claim your prize at Kasal.com office.
17. Judging date will be on Oct. 3, 2007, 3:00pm  at Kasal.com office.
18. Entries will be displayed during Kasalang Filipino roadshow finale and will be  featured in Kasal.com Church Gallery Section.  Awarding will be done on  October  13, 2007, 5:00pm  at The Enterprise Center.  Officers from Kasal.com and Fujifilm YKL will be present during the awarding.
19. Winners must present a valid ID (drivers license, passport or any I.D. with picture) when claiming the prize.
20. The decision of the Board of Judges of the Photo Contest is FINAL and UNAPPEALABLE.
21. Employees of YKL, Kasal.com, their advertising agency, dealers, all participating outlets, and their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promotion.
22. All entries, winning or non-winning prints will be owned by Fujifilm YKL and Kasal.com.
23. Kasal.com and FUJI YKL reserve the right to publish or display any entry, winning or non-winning, for promotional purposes, with corresponding acknowledgment to the corresponding photographer, but without monetary compensation.
