Hi Anton,
Since you are in a battle against copyright infringement, will be glad to know your thoughts about rule #15. I’m from Cebu by the way and this rule is getting a lot of flak among some of the photogs here.

Ryan,
I tried calling them last week but no one was answering the phone they listed..
Am sure they just need to be briefed about the changing landscape of photography and copyright. They probably just patterned the contest from an older one.
could you get the contact details so we can brief them? or at least have them amend their contest details?
Anton,
Thanks for the reply.
They actually tried to revised the rules, revising entry fees and some stuff but I think not a word on rule #15.
You can check some discussions here:

Are you also aware of the PCSO Photo contest?

Ryan,
Maybe they need to updated with the times.. dont think they are up-to-date ..
yes i posted the pcso contest but put a proceed at your own risk warning..
some of these contests are big and hard to talk to, maybe if the ipr group is set up we can tackle issues like this since we are going to formalize the photographer’s voice.. We just need to get together.. there are too many groups of photographers and no body protecting our rights.. puro to each his own..
This has to stop.. we are in the process of talking about putting a group together. Ill let you know what happens.
Thank you.
Anton,
Yup I think it’s high time people get educated about IPR. Although I am but a newbie in this world of photography I fully support any undertaking that will protect and uphold our rights.
Please do update me of your progress in putting up a group. I will gladly spread the word here in Cebu. I am sure that when I inform my club here(Cebu Photography Club), they will be willing to support.
