Its confirmed! according to the Provincial Media Relations Center (PMRC Leyte)
The only thing that has changed with The Pintados Kasadyaan Festival is the date.. It used to be June 29 Every year but this year they are moving it earlier to the 27th of June, 2 days earlier than the usual date which has been observed for several years now.
Leyte Governor Carlos Jericho Petilla in his recent interview over the province’s weekly radio program Hingyap Han Leyteño, assured this year’s Kasadyaan would be as grand, even more so than with the previous years with about 21 contingents from different towns in the province signifying their intention to join the Kasadyaan Festival.
He likewise disclosed part of the provincial government’s thrust is to develop the province’s many cultural richness through the formation of these festivals, which he also acknowledged as one of the province’s plus factor in increasing tourism in this part of the country.
Last year’s winners in the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival, the Buyugon Festival of Abuyog and the Alikaraw Festival of Hilongos was among the 24 contingents to the prestigious Aliwan Festival in Manila last week.
NOTE: CEBU PACIFIC ZERO FARES travel period starts June 29 (too bad they moved the festival to June 27!) but if you want to come back on the 29th, all you have to pay for are the taxes!
If you book ZERO fares for roundtrip to Tacloban, it will only cost you PHP3,533.00.. Hmm.. I should book for the coming festivals!
