Masskara 2007 Schedule of Activities – Celebrating the icons of Bacolod

Bacolod will celebrate the icons for it prelude to the Diamond Year- symbols, institutions, landmarks and products that have, over time, become representative of the city. These icons include the bandstand at the Bacolod public plaza, the San Sebastian Cathedral, piaya, butong-butong and other sugar products, sugar stalks, San Miguel Beer, fighting cocks, durian and mangoes, orchids and other cutflowers, prawns and other seafoods and the like

Wow Exciting year for the Masskara – Electric MassKara

A new activity that is going to be introduced this year is the Electric MassKara — the right version of the famous MassKara dance parade. although smaller in terms of the number of dancers. Here, the bodies of MassKara dancers will be lighted up.

Another Addition to the Festival this year is the Lacson Street Party Strip
The area of Lacson North Drive to 4th Lacson Sts. will be converted into a party strip for Oct. 19. Here will be held the first electric MassKara, the MassKara fantasy costume show and other fun activities.
