Nikon International Trading (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. Established

Nikon Corporation (Michio Kariya, President) is pleased to announce the establishment of Nikon International Trading (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a wholly owned international procurement subsidiary, in Shenzhen, China. This new company has been launched to expand procurement of parts and components for imaging products, including digital cameras, with improved quality control and more timely delivery. Operations will commence on April 1, 2007.
The International Procurement Office, established as a part of Nikon Hong Kong Ltd. in 1998, has played a role in Nikon’s procurement strategy to expand its business steadily. As part of our imaging business production strategy, Nikon foresees the need for improved management of an increasing number of parts procured in China, as well as increased quality assurance and improved delivery times. It is for these reasons that Nikon has established this wholly owned international procurement subsidiary as a base for procurement operations in China.
We believe that the establishment of this local subsidiary will help to advance our production strategy, allowing us to provide high-quality products that respond even better to users’ needs, thus enhancing Nikon’s already significant market presence.
London Eye: 25 millionth visitor photography competition

The British Airways London Eye is celebrating an historic milestone – 25 million visitors.
To mark this outstanding achievement, we are asking you to share your favourite memories of your trip to the London Eye. Whether it’s a family photo in a capsule, a shot of the world-famous structure from ground level or dramatic panoramic views of the capital city, we want your photos to be a part of our celebrations.
Upload your pictures of London’s most iconic landmark and be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes. At the end of the competition all images submitted will also come together to create a giant mosaic of the 135m-high observation wheel.
To be a part of the celebrations, take a brief moment to register your details and start uploading your images – there’s even the chance to tell us a bit about your photos by categorising and adding your comments to them.
The photography competition runs from 14 March 2007 to 16 April 2007 (inclusive). Entries must reach www.londoneye.com/photography no later than 16 April 2007.
The winner will be notified in writing by 30 April 2007.
