The Dinagyang, an Iloilo festival and their version of Aklan’s Ati-Atihan, is celebrated every 4th weekend of January, in honor of the Holy Child Jesus. It’s a socio-cultural and religious event that is characterized by feet stomping and hypnotic drumbeats, with the people dressed in unique and colorful costumes, dancing and chanting all throughout.
